2023 Pike County Ag Awareness Day

Recently, Pike County Farm Bureau hosted over 350 third grade students at the Pike County Fairgrounds. Students had the chance to visit many different stations including a farmers market, animal vital signs, sheep, pollinators and many more! Students also competed in a “Design a T-Shirt Contest” to have their design on the front of all the T-shirts that are given to all students, teachers and presenters. We would like to thank the Piketon FFA Chapter, Farm Bureau board members, and volunteers for taking time out of their busy schedules to help with this event. Labor has always been an issue, mainly because we are a seasonal operation. So that's a challenge finding somebody who only wants to work three months out of a year, sometimes up to six months.
