Farmers, producers and anyone interested in learning more about the potential for growing hemp, a new crop to Ohio, can attend a day-long workshop Jan. 24 at The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), designed to separate the facts from fiction. The program will offer two program tracks: industrial hemp and cultivation practices; and the business of growing hemp. The event will also feature an optional program Jan. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to noon that will feature information on hemp cultivation, lab testing, processing and other topics. Registration for the workshop is $100 by Jan. 10, or $125 after. Registration for the Jan. 25 optional program is $25 for that session only. For more information, contact Mary Wicks at [email protected] or 330-202-3533.
