On Jan. 15, 2020, new proposals including requiring a fur taker permit for coyote hunting and trapping and adding coyote to the fur bearer trapping season were proposed to the Ohio Wildlife Council. Ohio resident landowners would not be required to have a hunting license or fur taker permit when hunting or trapping on land they own.
At this meeting, the logic and structure behind the proposal will be discussed as well as how to submit public comments to the Ohio Wildlife Council which are open for submission beginning Feb. 21, 2020.
