Madison County Farm Bureau will follow guidelines of the COVID-19 executive order from Governor DeWine. *The in-person meeting is subject to change at any time*

Proposed policies:

Local:

We encourage local participation in conversations regarding the development of alternative energy sources in Madison County. These alternative sources include, but are not limited to, solar energy.

We support the Power Sitting Board in its ability to properly vet each alternative energy source. We encourage communities to allow the Power Sitting Board the opportunity to investigate and regulate proposed alternative energy sources in Madison County.

We encourage Madison County farmers and landowners to report tile on their property to the County Engineer’s Office so a comprehensive map of the county’s tiling system can be developed.

We support equal access to conservation efforts across all of Madison County.

State:

We support inclusion efforts of the Ohio Farm Bureau. We would like to see that no individual is denied membership or access to membership benefits based on race, creed, ability or sexual orientation.

We support the continued and expedited development of rural broadband in Ohio. The COVID-19 outbreak has made this a priority issue across all aspects of our society.

We support incentives to both young and new (without limits on age) farmers as they begin their farming enterprises.
