Looking for some fall fun? Join Preble County Farm Bureau for the Hoots, Hooves & Habitats – Fall Farm Days at the Wild Hearts African Farm.

Activities:

Goatally Awesome Petting Zoo
Tour & Fall Corn Walk
Oct. 2 – 11 am, Oct. 4 – 1 pm, Oct. 9 – 11 am
{ Ages 3+} Meet African goats and sheep as well as maras, tortoises, and bald eagle, followed by a brief nature hike and corn walk. Please wear appropriate footwear. Corn walk is subject to weather & harvest.
All ages are welcome however this tour is more suitable for ages 3 and up.
$8 kids ages 3-12
$11 for adults ages 13+

Owly, Howly & Prowly
Oct. 3 – 1pm, Oct. 11 – 1pm , Oct. 17 – 1pm
{ Ages 8+} Learn about owls, jackals and other predators and their important role on farmland habitat. Hear about their adaptations and animal husbandry including their housing, feeding and healthcare needs provided here at the farm. Children under age 8 are not permitted on this tour for their safety.
$8 kids ages 8-12
$11 for adults ages 13+

Jackal Lanterns
Oct. 9 – 1 pm, Oct. 11 – 2:30 pm, Oct. 17 – 11 am
{ Ages 8+} During the Petting Zoo tour, head behind the scenes to meet Sirius, Padfoot and Lupin, the black-backed jackals. These small furry members of the dog family have a fascinating farm and cultural history throughout Africa. Receive a pumpkin with a jackal stenciled on it to take home! Children under age 8 are not permitted on this tour for their safety.
$12 kids ages 8-12

Hocus POKEus with Acacia
Oct. 3 – 11am, Oct. 10 – 1pm, Oct. 16 – 11am, Oct. 18 – 1pm
{ Ages 3+} FALL in love with the prettiest prickly princess on any farm around! On this tour, help feed porcupine Acacia and learn about the many uses for quills. Each participant will receive a quill souvenir.
$10 kids ages 3 -12
$13 for adults ages 13+

I HEART Creepy Animals
Oct. 2 – 1 pm, Oct. 10 – 11 am, Oct. 16 – 1 pm
{ All ages} They slither and hiss but these are animals you won’t want to miss! Meet or snakes, lizards and hissing cockroaches during a guided tour of the  Petting Zoo.
$8 kids ages 8-12
$11 for adults ages 13+
FREE – Kids 2 and under

Sweethearts Owl Prowl Sundowner
Oct. 16 – 5:30 pm, Oct. 17 – 5:30 pm
{Adults 18+} BYOB. Enjoy a relaxing Fall themed Sundowner…
Sweetest Day Edition! During this adults-only evening tour, experience autumn in the Petting Zoo with owner Amanda Badger. Breathe in the crisp fall air and help (or just watch!) Amanda put the animals to bed for the evening.
Bring a favorite beverage to sip while we discover the owls of Wild Hearts African Farm.
$20 for adults. Leave the kiddos at home!

This event is open to anyone, however Preble County Farm Bureau members may use their Preble County Farm Bureau membership to receive $5 off each ticket. Note: *Up to five discounts per membership. Membership must current and be validated to receive the discount. Only Preble County Farm Bureau memberships qualify for discount.
