Join us on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 pm for options and objectives for your woods.

Timber harvest, maple sugaring, stand improvement, wildlife habitat creation….. Land management decisions don’t have to be difficult, but where to start??

It all begins with defining your goals and knowing what options are available. In this virtual program, we’ll discuss the “101 level” of northeast Ohio forestry, covering tips, terms and what you need to know as a landowner. Create a clear path to achieving your goals through management planning.

You’ll come away from this Woodland Wednesday with a fresh perspective on how to see your forest through the trees.

Featured speakers are Jessica Miller, community forester at Holden Forests and Gardens; and Dan Castellucci, owner and consulting forester with Frontier Woodland Services LLC.

Collaborators include Natural Resources Conservation Service; Geauga, Lake,
Ashtabula, Portage, and Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation Districts; ODNR Division of Forestry; Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Trumbull and Portage County Farm Bureaus; and ODNR Division of Wildlife.

The event is free but registration is required.  Click here to register online. You can also reserve by calling your local SWCD office, NRCS office, or the Farm Bureau office at 440.426.2195.
