Preventative maintenance of the home septic system not only extends the life of the system, but also protects the investment, water resources and public health.  Join the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District, Geauga Public Health and Geauga West Library during National SepticSmart Week for a free, in-person SepticSmart program.

Presenters Dave Sage and Zach Myers, registered sanitarians with Geauga Public Health, will discuss how a home septic system works, how to maintain a home sewage treatment system and what to do when it appears to not be working properly.

This program is free, but reservations are required due to limited seating. Register online or contact Geauga SWCD at 440-834-1122 with questions. This program is part of the 2021 Clean Water Starts at Home: Stormwater, Phase 2, and You education series.
