Learn about what’s happening in renewable energy and then enjoy the Scarlet, Gray and Green Fair on April 19 at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center’s Fisher Auditorium, room 111. The workshop is from 10 a.m. to noon and the fair is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in and around the same building.

AGENDA:

10 a.m. — The Sun, Fossil Fuels and the GEO Tour, Dick Radosevic, GEO volunteer. Find out about the connections between sun, fossil fuels and our climate as well as opportunities to learn more about solar energy at the annual Green Energy Ohio Tour.

10:30 a.m. — Motor Fuels: Renewable and Alternative Sources, Jim Rocco, Sage Risk Solutions. Learn about how the motor fuels market is evolving and the role of renewable and alternative sources of those fuels.

11 a.m. Case Study: Solar Energy, Fred Michel, Ohio State University. With solar panels on his home and car, Dr. Michel will share his experience with the ins and outs of solar energy and how it has impacted his energy bills and the environment.

11:30 a.m. — Q&A. Get answers to your burning questions and share your ideas.

Noon — Scarlet, Gray and Green Fair, held in the Fisher Auditorium and surrounding grounds. The fair is a chance to recycle, learn about other green practices, enjoy lunch and more.
