The 2nd annual Pond School will be held June 1 to address questions about algae, weeds, geese and the “how-to” of pond ownership. Cost is $30 per person and includes take home resources for each attendee. Space will be limited so early registration is strongly recommended. Deadline to register is May 27 and payment is due when registering.

Ohio State University Extension of Medina, Medina County Park District, Medina Soil and Water Conservation District, Cleveland Metroparks and Ohio Department of Natural Resources are partners on the three-hour program.

The program will focus on care of ponds 1/4 acre and larger. Sessions to choose from include a mix of lecture, hands-on, and outdoor talks covering fish management for recreation or vegetation control, aging pond care, algae management, nuisance wildlife issues, beneficial wildlife around the pondscape, and more.

Contact Ashley Kulhanek, OSU Extension, Medina County at 330-725-4911, Ext. 106 for more information.
