Enjoy a free picnic style meal, prepared by the Montgomery County Cattlemen’s Association, and spend the evening learning from the experts. You’ll hear what the manure rules are, how Montgomery SWCD can help if you are having problems, and what assistance may be available to you from the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA).
Topics will include the changing definition of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS)through the new Ohio Environmental Protection Agency rule, what triggers a manure complaint, how you can respond and temporary measures you can take. Certified Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs), land applications and storage will also be explained.
