Guernsey County Farm Bureau will hold its annual Pork Chop Dinner Friday, April 21, at the Cassell Station Firehouse, 4500 Peters Creek Rd, Cambridge, OH. Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The tickets for the dinner are available from any Board of Trustee member, Nationwide Insurance Offices of Gene Moore and Cambridge Insurance Group in Cambridge or contact the Farm Bureau office at 740-425-3681.  Tickets are advance sale only and the deadline for purchase is Friday, April 14.  Menu includes grilled pork chops, parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce, rolls, beverage and Broughton’s ice cream.

Cost is $8 for Farm Bureau members and $10 for nonmembers.

There will be a silent auction with numerous items to be bid on. All proceeds from the auction go to the Guernsey County Farm Bureau Scholarship Fund. Two $500 scholarships are awarded each year to a county member’s child.

Displays and information tables will be available throughout dinner provided by area agencies such as Nationwide Insurance, ag and county agencies and Farm Bureau member businesses. Several also plan to offer door prizes!

The Safety Seminar will be held at 6 p.m. for those interested. All members with Workers’ Compensation Group Rating thru Farm Bureau are encouraged to attend.

The Farm Bureau member benefit information will be showcased with signage available to all paid members to post their property with $2500 Reward program signs.  Bryson Wakeley, president of Guernsey County Farm Bureau, encourages all members to post their property.

“With the increase in criminal activity in our county it is important to take all of the precautions we can, especially in our rural areas, he said. Plan to stop by and pick up your signs at the dinner.
