Here’s a chance to work toward a positive change that can be seen and experienced the same day or even the same hour! If you enjoy being outside and don’t mind getting a little (or a lot) wet and muddy, the Montgomery Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) has the event for you! Canoes and pizza are provided!

The annual Stillwater River cleanup has resulted in tons (literally) of trash being pulled from the stream and its banks, to be recycled or correctly disposed of. Each year the Montgomery SWCD works with volunteers and business and agency partners to help keep the State Scenic Stillwater River beautiful! This can be a strenuous event, so come prepared by dressing properly for the weather and wearing close-toed, thick-soled shoes. The partners who help make this event possible include the Cities of Clayton & Englewood, Five Rivers MetroParks, the Montgomery County Solid Waste District, Pizza Factory, and Rivers Unlimited.

This event is FREE, but preregistration is required. For details and to reserve your spot, call or email Kristen Lauer at (937) 854-7645 or [email protected] before May 26!  (Rain date June 9)
