The Northwest Agricultural Research Station focuses on row crop research and the challenges facing growers in northwest Ohio.

Participants at the field day will get a wagon tour of the station and hear presentations by CFAES experts.

CFAES specialists Laura Lindsey, assistant professor of horticulture and crop science; Steve Culman, state specialist in soil fertility and assistant professor of environment and natural resources; Anthony Dobbels, research specialist in horticulture and crop science; and Kelley Tilmon, associate professor of entomology, will speak at the event.

The field day will cover the following areas:

  • Optimizing Soybean Relative Maturity
  • Fertility Management and Tri-State Recommendations
  • Xtend and Enlist Herbicide Technologies
  • Soybean Insect Management and Update

The event is free and open to the public. Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) and Ohio State University Extension are hosting the event.
