In Ohio, it seems the only thing we can expect from the weather is the unexpected. This growing season Ohio farmers have seen everything from hail to flash floods, near droughts, and even hurricanes. Join OSU Extension for a farmers’ breakfast Friday, July 21  at Beck’s to talk about the weather.

Jim Noel of the National Weather Service will discuss this year’s weather and how it fits with historical trends. He will also give an extended forecast and discuss long-term weather predictions. Pierce Paul of Ohio State’s plant pathology department will give a disease forecast, based on the weather we saw from planting until today, which can support fungicide application decisions.

Hot breakfast is included. Breakfast and attendance are free thanks to support from Madison County Farm Bureau, but pre-registration is required by Tuesday, July 18. Contact Mary Griffith to register ([email protected] or 740-852-0975).
