Join in-person or virtually for the CIFT May Agribusiness Forum. Participants will hear from Atmospheric Research Scientist and Climate Specialist, Aaron Wilson, Ph.D. with Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center and OSU Extension at The Ohio State University.

Evidence clearly demonstrates that the climate is changing, but the changes experienced depend on location. In this presentation, Wilson will discuss the observed changes in temperature and precipitation over recent decades, from a global overview to local changes in Ohio. Key challenges facing farmers and agribusinesses across the state will be highlighted, from impacts on planting and harvesting decisions to increased stressors including pest, disease, and nutrient management. The discussion will conclude with ways to individually and collectively adapt to and mitigate future expected changes.

Space for the in-person component is limited to the first 20 registers. Complimentary coffee provided for all in-person attendees.
