Richland County Farm Bureau asks community leaders and Farm Bureau members to provide input on the issues and policies that need attention in the community. Your experience and perspective is appreciated and valuable to the organization. Please join us for breakfast and a policy development meeting on June 22 at 7:30 a.m. at the Longview Center, Room 235 located at 1495 W. Longview Ave., Mansfield.

The policies of the Farm Bureau are the backbone of the organization. They provide the framework through which we advocate for family, community and food security. Our policies help guide efforts to address real community issues — issues such as regulations, funding public education and services, environmental protection, animal care, health care, landowner’s rights, and community planning. These policies are used as a foundation for programs, projects and advocacy at the state and federal level, but just as importantly, are used to help guide the yearly plan of work for Richland County Farm Bureau volunteers.

Please make your reservation by June 13, by clicking here, email [email protected] or call the office at (419) 747-7488. If you are unable to attend but have suggestions, please submit them here or email them to [email protected] by June 15.

The Richland County Farm Bureau policy development committee will use this input to provide policy resolutions for a vote by our members at our annual meeting in September. Those approved will go on to the Ohio Farm Bureau, and they may move on to the American Farm Bureau.
