The Central Ohio Farm Bureaus invite you to join them for the 2022 Women in Ag Brunch!  This annual event recognizes achievements in agriculture and the contributions of women to our local farm community.

The keynote speaker will be Sarah Huffman, executive director of the Office of Farmland Preservation with the Ohio Department of Agriculture. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the state’s efforts to partner with landowners, local government, Soil and Water Conservation Districts and Land Trusts to permanently preserve Ohio farms in agricultural production, strengthening Ohio’s No. 1 industry, food and agriculture. She grew up on her family’s farm in southeast Iowa, the oldest portion of which has been in the family since the 1840s. During her youth, she rode horses, raised chickens and rabbits, and participated in 4-H. Sarah and her husband live in Delaware County with their three-year-old daughter and two dogs.

We will be honoring Connie Skinner of Delaware County. Connie is a dedicated Farm Bureau member and volunteer. She has been instrumental in many projects the county has done over the years, including involvement with the Delaware County Hunger Alliance, Benefit in the Barn and the county fair.

Come join us March 5 as we celebrate women in agriculture!

Brunch will be served, featuring a mimosa bar. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with the welcome and program starting at 11 a.m.

Purchase your tickets at this link by Feb. 28. For questions please contact the county Farm Bureau office at [email protected] or call 800-451-8908.
