Scholarship Recipients Chosen

Montgomery County Farm Bureau is proud to award scholarships to four exemplary and highly qualified students. The 2014 recipients are:

Sarah Black

Sarah is the daughter of Jerry and Linda Black of Union. Sarah will be attending Ohio University in the fall and majoring in photojournalism. Sarah has been involved with several 4-H clubs, and she has also volunteered at the fair helping out with the kiddie tractor pulls. After earning her degree, Sarah plans to travel the world taking pictures and capturing moments of poverty to help raise awareness of the amount of poverty and the destruction it causes to people's lives. Congratulations Sarah!

Sarah Landis

Sarah is the daughter of Jeff and Debbie Landis of Farmersville. Sarah will be attending Sinclair Community College and then Ohio State University where she will seek her degree in Agri-science Education. Aside from being active in 4-H and the Valley View FFA, Sarah has been actively involved with the Montgomery County Fair and is currently the Fair Queen. Sarah has also attended the Ohio Youth Capitol Challenge sponsored by Farm Bureau. Congratulations Sarah!

Lisa Seim

Lisa is the daughter of Dale and Sandy Seim of New Lebanon. Lisa will be attending either Wilmington College or Morehead State. Her plans are to major in Animal Science. Lisa has been actively involved in Farm Bureau since she was a young girl. Lisa is also a 4-H member and involved in the Twin Valley South FFA. After receiving her animal science degree, Lisa plans to continue her education and earn a degree in large animal veterinarian science. Congratulations Lisa!

Hannah Tomlin

Hannah is the daughter of Randy and Jennifer Tomlin of Brookville. Hannah will be attending Kettering College. Hannah will be pursuing a degree in Nursing. Hannah has been involved in Tomís run livestock 4-H and is currently president. Hannah is also active in the Brookville FFA and has received her State FFA degree. Hannah and her family are new Farm Bureau members and we look forward to seeing them at future events. Congratulations Hannah!
