American Farm Bureau’s FUSION virtual conference provides value for people of all ages with a variety of different activities including:
- Virtual tours from around the country

- And so much more!
During this year’s conference, the goal is to inspire the grassroots agricultural community across the country to engage as members and leaders within Farm Bureau to influence a stronger and more sustainable future for the agriculture industry.
Conference Kick-Off Celebration
The celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 11 with a welcome from AFBF President Zippy Duvall, followed by a live comedy performance from Second City. The well-known improv company opened its door in December 1959 and has grown to become the most influential and prolific comedy empire in the world. Famed faces of the group include Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Steve Carell and Jason Sudeikis.
The conference offers a solid lineup of keynote speakers to kick-off each day at 12 noon. The Friday speaker will be Gian Paul Gonzalez, former NCAA First Team All-American basketball player and motivational speaker to all, from professional sports teams to at-risk youth. Saturday’s keynote speaker will be Jay Hill, farmer, advocate for agriculture and social media pro. Plan to join Gian Paul and Jay after the completion of each general session for a live question and answer session before you join a breakout session at 1:30 p.m.

FUSION Fitness Fun
Join fellow FUSION participants as we run, jog, or walk for a good cause! Lace up your shoes and get your miles in before joining us for the FUSION Reimagined general session on Saturday, March 13 at 12 p.m. Use any fitness tracking app to log your miles, then upload a screenshot of your route and miles to our FUSION Facebook event page or use #FUSION21 if posting on Instagram or Twitter (and if you are posting on Twitter, make sure to add @FarmBureau to your post to see it show up on the stream on the conference platform). Have a running group? Make sure they all are registered for conference, join us for some events and get them to post their miles. We will add up the miles posted and donate $1 for every mile, up to $1,000, to the Oregon Food Bank. The FUSION conference always finds ways to give back to the community in which the conference takes place. This year is no different, we just reimagined how it will happen.
How Do You FUSION?
In addition to posting your milage by Saturday, make sure to snap a photo or a take a quick video of how you are experiencing FUSION Reimagined. Are you watching with your immediate family? Are you with your county or state program committee? Did you invite your neighbors over for an evening session? Make sure to show us how you are experiencing the conference by posting photos and/or videos on social media. You can even post a pic and/or video from your run! Use the FUSION Facebook event page for Facebook or use #FUSION21 if posting on Instagram or Twitter.
Engagement Power Hours
Grab a beverage of your choice and join other conference attendees in one of the Engagement Power Hour sessions Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each room will have a topic for you to learn more about and find common interests with conference attendees from across the world, or just enjoy some fun. Topic areas include rooms specific for:
Commodities and careers (i.e. beef, row crops, swine, animal science, agribusiness, ag communication, etc.)
The PAL program and Farm Bureau University
AFB Foundation for Agriculture
Meal prep and mental health
FUSION is open to everyone – including kids! While attending general sessions, breakouts, FUSION Night-In, the Engagement Power Hour and more, invite your kids to take part in the fun as well. Youth can watch videos of farmers answering questions asked by kids, participate in crafts, play games and even get a tour around a farm or ranch with a kid their own age as the tour guide! Make #FUSION21 a family affair by taking part in the Kids’ Corner!
Note: The general sessions, workshops and competitions will air live, but recordings of each will be available on demand for 90 days after the conference ends for registered attendees.
Registration for FUSION is free for Farm Bureau and non-Farm Bureau members. The first 500 Farm Bureau members who register will receive a conference swag box filled with sponsor items, program material and other fun items. Register
All registered attendees will receive a link to the virtual event platform to the email address used for registration. The email will be sent on March 8, 2021 and will include the username and password for attendees to login.
