August 16, 9am–3:15pm
WhereNRCS Findlay Service Center 7868 County Road 140, Findlay, OH 45840
Join the Blanchard River Demonstration Farms Network Summer Bus Tour and get an up-close-and-personal experience with three local farms and farmers involved with implementing new and established conservation practices in the Blanchard River Watershed.
The demonstration farms are part of five-year, $1 million partnership between USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation.
Conservation practices on premises include cover crops, edge of field monitoring, manure management, sub-surface nutrient placement, wetlands, pollinator habitats, drainage water management structures and many more.
The event is free and open to the public but you must register. Buses will be placed at a central location pick up and you will be taken to all three farms to hear from industry experts and the farmers themselves.
