Join Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau for its first ever BBQ Bootcamp and Burnoff. The festivities begin with a family night including children’s activities and a chance to interact with a variety of BBQ-related vendors. The Bootcamp kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday, offering classes such as BBQ Meat Selection, Meat Preparation – Rubs and Injections, Food Safety and Kids Grilling. Vendors will be available all day. Purchase a wristband to sample the Burnoff competitors tastings and participate in the People’s Choice voting. Those interested in competing in the Burnoff need to register by April 1. Burnoff categories are chicken, pork, pork ribs and beef brisket (All Kansas City BBQ Society Rules will apply). Money raised from wristband sales will benefit Community Hospice.
Cost: Free; Wristbands – Farm Bureau members: $5 per person; nonmember: $10 for one, $15 for two, $20 for a family; children: 12 and under free if accompanied by an adult
