Columbus African Violet Society is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a Show and Sale. The Show—“65 and Still Growing”– will have many exhibits of African Violets shown in the way the plants can be grown, from stately show plants to AVs in dish gardens, terrariums and a variety of containers. Flower arrangements using African Violets will be displayed. Gesneriads , cousins of the African Violet, are also exhibited.
There will be seminars during the show on such topics as Basic Care, how to start a leaf, and how to pot up baby AVs. Columbus AVS Members will be available to answer question and give quick demonstrations on African Violet culture.
Member grown starter plants of both African Violets and other Gesneriads will be available for purchase.
Admission to the African Violet Show and Sale is FREE. Parking is FREE.
Hours open: Sale: Saturday 10am – 5pm; Sunday 10am – 4pm; Show: Saturday 12pm – 5pm; Sunday 10am – 4pm
