Learning the techniques associated with composting correctly is an inexpensive way to condition lawns and gardens while saving money.
Sharon Barnes, vice president, Barnes Nursery, Inc., will discuss composting and horticultural techniques at the Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum. The program begins at 8 a.m. with informal networking prior, hosted by CIFT,
Barnes has worked at Barnes Nursery, based in Sandusky, Ohio, in every aspect of the company’s integrated horticultural services for the past 34 years. For more than two decades, she has worked exclusively in the research, development and operations of Barnes Regional Composting Facility.
Projects have included site development, equipment procurement, end product development, and new feedstock permitting and bio-remediation projects.
The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum is an educational networking opportunity to provide information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement. The cost is just $10 per person (cash or check at the door) which includes breakfast and networking opportunities.
