WhatThe National Pork Board will host a webinar to provide producers with tools to manage the current on-farm situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Steve Meyer, economist with Kerns and Associates, will provide an update for producers on the current packer capacity and Angie Krieger, vice president of domestic marketing for the National Pork Board, will provide details on how the Checkoff is supporting supply chain operations.
Dr. Dave Pyburn, chief veterinarian for the National Pork Board, will share new resources available for pork producers to help manage emergency depopulation and disposal. Mark Hutchinson, extension education with the University of Maine, will provide composting recommendations for pork producers.
Bill Even, CEO of the National Pork Board, and a representative from the National Pork Producers Council will also make comments.
