Greene County Master Gardeners invite you to learn about the movement to buy local while learning how to extend the harvest by preserving the fresh produce that comes from local growers and from your own gardens. Learn about the history of preserving food; learn the basics of choosing fresh produce; learn the latest methods of safe home canning, freezing, drying and jellying the harvest. Resources and recipes will be provided and local vendors and producers will be on hand to offer expertise and products. This program is designed for all levels of experience.
