Join us for our free Annual Pond Clinic, co-sponsored by the Preble & Montgomery SWCDs. Held rain or shine, and open to everyone! Special events just for the children!
The event will start at 5:30 p.m., with a picnic style meal of hotdogs, chips, potato salad, cookies, and refreshments. At 6 p.m., David Flory will give a brief introduction about the site. Our first presenter will be Wildlife Officer Brad Turner from Division of Wildlife (DOW), discussing what you can do to control nuisance animals. The children can join Preble Conservation Assistant, Michelle Illing, and Education/Information Specialist Kristen Lauer, for some educational programs and activities planned just for them!
Remlinger Fish Farm will talk about fish stocking and aeration in ponds. Next, Shawn Murphy from Michael Murphy Insurance will cover the important topic of pond liability. Lastly, Preble SWCD Technician/Educator BJ Price will close the evening with words about what services SWCDs can provide to our communities. To have an estimate for the meal, we are asking for reservations by May 31st. To make reservations, if you have any questions, or if you would like more information about the pond clinic, please call Michelle Illing, Preble SWCD Conservation Assistant, at (937) 456-5159. Seating will be provided.
