WhatGreen Energy Ohio, in collaboration with the American Solar Energy Society, is hosting the 15th Annual Green Energy Ohio Tour, representing a wide variety of clean energy installations. The event showcases the technologies that Ohioans are using to reduce monthly energy costs, decrease carbon emissions, and take advantage of tax credits and other incentives as they improve their property values.
The types of tours vary throughout the state. Some are open house tours at homes and businesses throughout the state, while some are guided tours. All tours will show examples of utilizing clean energy through solar PV, solar thermal, geothermal heat pumps, wind turbines, electric vehicles, and energy storage. See the list of tour locations, times and details.
All tours are free! The 2017 GEO Fall Tour is organized by local volunteers and tour site owners, with more than 60 clean energy sites statewide. The Green Energy Ohio Tour and the ASES National Solar Tour afford participants the direct perspectives of homeowners and installers about the costs, processes, and economic and environmental benefits of clean energy. The tours also offer consumers a glimpse at how a variety of systems look in and around structures with different architectural styles.
