OSU Extension office – Patterson Center Geauga County Fairgrounds, 14269 Claridon-Troy Rd., Burton, OH
The new year is a great time to reassess your woodland’s potential and explore opportunities to make your land less “taxing.”
Join us as we take a closer look at the Ohio Forestry Tax Law (OFTL) and the Current Agriculture Use Value (CAUV) programs available to landowners with qualifying property. We’ll review the history, recent improvements, eligibility, and requirements of these tax saving programs to get you on the path to better stewardship and more savings!
The workshop is FREE and all are welcome to attend. Registration is required by Monday, Feb. 10. To register call 440.834.1122 or register online. You can also reserve by calling your local SWCD office, NRCS office, or the Farm Bureau office at 440.426.2195
The programs are a part of “Woodland Wednesdays,” an exciting workshop series promoting healthy trees and woodlands. The workshops are being offered in Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Trumbull counties through a partnership between Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, and Trumbull County Farm Bureaus, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, ODNR Division of Forestry and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service to provide informative programs to explore tools and resources to sustainably and profitably manage woodlands on your property.
