We invite the community to join us for great food and fellowship for just 50 cents, or a nonperishable food item. All donated food items will distributed to local food pantries. Last year, 1300 people from the community enjoyed a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs, milk, orange juice, and coffee.
Several displays with information about agricultural companies in Marion County will be available for participants to view. Talk with local farmers and learn how your food is produced.
“Farmers remain committed to producing safe, healthy food for consumers, and we share with consumers many of the same concerns about putting nutritious meals on the table on a tight budget,” said Marion County Farm Bureau President, Karl Wedemeyer. “By inviting consumers to our Farmers CARE Breakfast, we hope to connect with them and provide a better understanding of the origins of the food on their plates.”
