The Mesopotamia Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting the 40th annual Ox Roast. The Ox Roast is the fire department’s main fundraiser and relies on the proceeds generated to purchase essential equipment and gear for the department. There is no admission charge to the ox roast.
Come join thousands of people for the “famous slow roasted barbeque sandwich.” The sandwiches are roasted on a spit over an open fire for eight hours and sliced for a fantastic flavor that makes it worth the trip to Amish country.
The huge flea market and live entertainment is offered daily. 2 Men and a campfire, Outback Ray, Rock’n’Country Cloggers, Bagpiper, a church pie auction and many others are scheduled to perform on stage surrounded by food, fun and country memories.
Middlefield Original Cheese House, Amish Home Crafts & Bakery, End of The Commons General Store, Ridgeview Farm Markets and many other unique shops are all within a short driving distance from Mesopotamia.
