A representative of Norfolk Southern will speak on the company’s rail transport of agricultural goods. The event is hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation (AIF).
Sandy Santangelo, senior account manager for industrial products, is responsible for more than $300 million in accounts within the Norfolk Southern agriculture market segment. He coordinates programs to incentivize unit grain train loaders to expand their rail infrastructure. Santangelo also developed and presented a market analysis for the fertilizer segment in order to grow market share through site location and distribution network optimization.
Norfolk Southern is an operator of 19,500 miles of U.S. railroad track across 22 states and the District of Columbia. The company supports international trade with service to every major Eastern seaport, 10 river ports, and nine lake ports, and operates the most extensive intermodal network in the East.
