Professor Brian Roe, Ph.D., will share research efforts from a food waste collaborative to explain consumer food consumption and waste behaviors. The event is hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT).
Food waste is a widely discussed topic in the food and agriculture industries. Roe, with background in policy issues surrounding food safety, labeling and local foods, will also share how packaging and date labels affect consumer food waste behaviors. He is a professor within the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University.
Arrive early, as breakfast and informal networking will start at 8 a.m., with the program to follow. The cost is just $10 per person with advance RSVP, or $12 per person at the door (cash or check) which includes breakfast and networking opportunities.
