The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) will develop its positions on farm and rural issues during the organization’s 98th annual meeting.
Delegates are expected to take action on a variety subjects of interest to both farmers and nonfarmers as they establish the official policies for the state’s largest farm organization.
Elections will also be held during the meeting for the organization’s top offices and for district trustees. The winners of OFBF’s Outstanding Young Farmer and Excellence in Agriculture awards will be recognized as well as the winner of the Discussion Meet.
OFBF President Frank Burkett and Executive Vice President Adam Sharp will deliver their annual reports to the membership and highlight priority issues for the coming year.
The fourth annual Ohio Farm and Food Leadership Forum will take place Nov. 30. This is a great opportunity to expand leadership skills by participating in this event.
Also taking place during the meeting is the 11th Annual Rural – Urban Community Auction, which will conclude with a special “live” finale held in conjunction with the OFBF Annual Meeting Dec. 1. Vendors and individuals interested in donating items for the auction may express their interest to Dale Arnold.
