Did you attend the Ohio State Fair in 1969 or earlier? If you answered yes, you’re automatically a member of the Fifty Year Club! Join your peers for the club’s 80th annual meeting, featuring performances by the All-Ohio State Fair Band & Youth Choir, the presentation of the esteemed Giant Step Award, viewing of the historical archives, “Member Memories” video, prizes and a parting taste of an ice cream treat provided by the Velvet Ice Cream Company.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. and the program starts at 9:15 a.m. Refreshments will be provided.
If you have attended any Ohio State Fair in 1969 or earlier – even just once, you are eligible to become a member of the Fifty Year Club, a group with the purpose of supporting, improving and promoting the fair. Many of the current members have attended the fair for countless years and enjoy the opportunity to meet others who share common interests. Attendees can come the day of the annual meeting and register on site. Membership is free.
The program will include musical selections by the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir “Scarlet Singers,” followed by an informative program and viewing of a rare 1939 Ohio State Fair video. The Fifty Year Club provides a great opportunity for fairgoers to learn, contribute and celebrate the rich history of the Ohio State Fair.
