Richland County Farm Bureau is hosting a regional safety meeting on Saturday, Sept. 9 during the Buckeye Iron Will Club’s 20th Annual Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Show. The meeting will be held in the John Hartz Building on the Richland County Fairgrounds. The two-hour long session presented by Ben King with Nationwide Agribusiness and local fire department personnel, will address the “What If?” of daily farm tasks. Would you know what to do or how to help if the unthinkable happened?
Members enrolled with the Farm Bureau Workers’ Compensation group with CompManagement can use this seminar to fulfill their annual safety requirement for the July 2017 to June 2018 period.
Make your reservation by Friday Sept. 1 online, by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-800-327-6055.
Attendees are asked to park at the main gate, off Home Road, in the lot just north of the double driveway. A shuttle will be available up to the Hartz building and back. The east gate will not be open during this event. There is no charge for these events.
As this is being held in conjunction with the Buckeye Iron Will Show, it will be a family friendly event. Whether you are a farmer, a history buff, or just an interested consumer, you are invited to come out for the day. Their “World Famous Pie Auction” will follow the safety meeting. You can see historic tractors and steam threshers and then catch lunch in the Fairhaven Cafeteria before the tractor pulls. Bring the family and enjoy the day!
