WhereRichland County Longview Center 1495 West Longview Ave., Mansfield, OH 44906
Please join us for breakfast and a policy development meeting on June 12, at 7:30 a.m. in the Longview Center located at 1495 West Longview Ave., Mansfield, OH 44906.
The policies of the Farm Bureau are the backbone of the organization. They provide the framework through which we advocate for family, community and food security. They help guide efforts to address real community issues — issues such as regulations, funding public education and services, environmental protection, animal care, health care, landowner’s rights and community planning. These policies are used to develop programs, projects and advocacy at the state and federal level, but just as importantly, are used to help guide the yearly plan of work for Richland County Farm Bureau volunteers.
As a community leader or an involved Farm Bureau member, you are asked to provide input on the issues and policies you think need attention in our community. You are asked because as a leader, your experience and perspective is appreciated and valuable to the organization. This is not a debate but is instead a listening session for all reasonable thoughts and ideas to be heard and considered. Due to time constraints, all guests’ remarks will likely be limited to three to four minutes.
If you are unable to attend, but have suggestions, please submit them to the office by emailing [email protected] or call the office at (419) 747-7488 by June 3. Following this input session, the Farm Bureau policy development committee will provide policy resolutions to the membership at our annual meeting. Those approved will go on to the Ohio Farm Bureau, and they may move on to the American Farm Bureau Federation.
In order to get an accurate count of guests, please RSVP by Mon., June 3, via email to [email protected] or call the office at (419) 747-7488.
