While the general outline of the agenda is pre-determined, instruction is tailored to attendees and their specific needs. Taking advantage of Granny’s Garden School’s more than 25 years of experience with developing and running school garden programs will save you time, money, frustration and disappointment.
Points to be covered include:
A tour of the gardens at Loveland Primary and Elementary Schools;
The ins and outs of starting a school garden;
Creating a program to make use of the school garden;
Getting organized behind the scenes;
Planning now for next spring;
Using Granny’s Garden School’s lesson plans and calendar to create a program that works for your school;
Safe, quick and easy ways to include tastings and nutritional information in garden lessons with a demonstration and simple recipes from Chef Lindsey.
Roberta Paolo (a.k.a. Granny), founder and executive director of Granny’s Garden School and Jody Maher, our Education Director, will lead the workshop with the support of Joe Clear, our Schoolyard Nature Network Coordinator and Lindsey Cook our nutrition and food educator. Cost for the workshop is $100. The fee Includes lunch prepared by Chef Lindsey.
The workshop will take place at the Granny’s Garden School office at 20 Miamiview Drive in Loveland, OH which is next door to the Loveland Primary and Elementary School Gardens.
