WhereRichland County Fairgrounds 750 North Home Rd, Mansfield, OH 44906
During the Buckeye Iron Will Club’s 20th Annual Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Show, Richland County Farm Bureau will host Technology in Agriculture: highlighting emerging technologies in agriculture and farming. These combined events will allow the public to see not only the history of farming and equipment, but also how farmers are using technology to help keep agriculture in Ohio strong. Attendees can see how today’s auto-steer, computer controlled equipment, and drone video help create a precision plan for a farmer’s field.
A drone demonstration provided by Tom Cooke, farmer and long-time drone enthusiast will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tips to be shared: what drones can do for you, what to purchase and where NOT to spend money.
Whether you are a farmer, a history buff, technology junkie, or just an interested consumer, you are invited to come out for the afternoon. You can see historic tractors and steam threshers and then catch up on today’s techniques for growing America’s food. The Fairhaven Cafeteria will be open, so you can even catch dinner before the truck pulls. Bring the family and enjoy the evening!
Make your reservation by Friday Sept. 1 online, by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-800-327-6055.
