Ohio State University Extension is presenting a FREE three-hour workshop to introduce innovators, entrepreneurs and those with ideas to move from idea to business. Small Business Innovation Research Grants (SBIR) through the USDA offer the opportunity to receive funding to fully research and explore a new technology/product idea. Don’t come with a prototype! SBIR grants support research of ideas in the concept stage with the ultimate goal to prove and commercialize the concept. Learn how to match your ideas that will enhance American agriculture, rural health care, rural communities, or the environment to USDA’s needs. You own and keep the intellectual property.
SBIR grants are available only to small businesses. Not set up as a small business yet? Come anyway and learn about the opportunity. You can set up your company while you work on your proposal. OSU will help you through the grant writing process from start to submission.
