The Winona Area Historical Society is sponsoring the third annual Winona Strawberry festival June 29. The Festival celebrates the community’s Quaker Heritage. All proceeds from the festival benefit the 1838 Quaker Meeting House Restoration Project. The Meeting House, when restoration is complete, will become a local historical museum.
Starting with a community church service on the lawn of the Friends Church at 10:30 a.m., the festival moves to the Winona Methodist Church pavilion at 11:30 a.m. for barbecued chicken dinners served with delicious homemade strawberry or fruit pies or strawberries, shortcake and ice cream.
