Build and engage your community through Ohio Farm Bureau’s Blog Workshop

Whether you’re thinking about blogging, just blog occasionally, or are continually looking to improve your blogging efforts, there will be plenty of value to be gained out of participating in the Ohio Farm Bureau blogging workshop in Columbus on Friday, June 22.

Free to Ohio Farm Bureau members, the workshop will feature panels, breakouts, tips, tricks, tools and takeaways from some of the best, brightest and most influential agricultural bloggers both in Ohio and from across the nation.

“There is  a lot to be gained by bringing together and empowering the Ohio farm blogging community,” said Dan Toland, Ohio Farm Bureau director of digital strategy. “Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from among the  best out there in our niche. The more we can share and learn from one another about successful online community engagement, the better we can collectively become at communicating with purpose, and enhancing valuable connections with others.

Discussions will focus upon why people blog, a compare and contrast of the various blogging platforms/sites available, learning how to deeper engage in “Blogger Culture,” and various ways to have discussions about food and agriculture through blogging.

Afternoon breakout sessions will revolve around the various blogging experience and skill levels of attendees, and help them step up their blogging skills.

A special lunchtime web session will feature the observations, studies and stories of the three farmers behind the thought-challenging “Just Farmers” blog, which focuses on “conversations as a way to collectively harness the power of individual people when brought together through community.”

The blog workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with continental breakfast and lunch provided. To reserve your spot at the workshop, contact Wanda Campbell at 614-246-8271 or [email protected] by June 15.
