Landowners enrolled in Ohio’s Current Agricultural Use Valuation (CAUV) program may have noticed their CAUV values increasing along with their taxes in recent years.

What’s the cause? How is this determined? What can you do about it? — There are a lot of questions, confusion and misconceptions surrounding the program.

Ohio Farm Bureau Director of Legal Education Leah Curtis will  answer these questions, clear up the confusion and more during an Ohio Farm Bureau members-only online meeting Feb. 27.

Curtis will discuss how a landowner qualifies for CAUV and will outline step-by-step how the program values property using calculation. She’ll also answer questions directly from members.

Ohio Farm Bureau has been engaged in the CAUV program since its inception in 1975, and strives to protect the program while making sure its members understand it.

Leah Curtis defines CAUV, discusses why landowners may notice varying increases in valuations and taxes and shares how members can register for the Feb. 27 web meeting.
