Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) director David T. Daniels will speak on the current and future issues surrounding the state of agriculture in Ohio. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. with informal networking prior, hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation, north of Bowling Green, Ohio.

Daniels was formally appointed ODA director by Governor John R. Kasich in February 2012. In addition to providing leadership for the agricultural industry, Daniels administers numerous regulatory, food safety and consumer protection programs for the benefit of all Ohioans. During his career of public service, he has fought against unnecessary red tape and regulations, and to foster a healthy business climate to create new opportunities for jobs.

Food and agriculture remains the leading industry in Ohio, adding more than $105 billion to the economy each year. The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum is an educational networking opportunity to provide information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement.
