OFBF adds additional incentive to ‘Faces of Farming and Ranching’ search
Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) is awarding an additional $2,500 to a member if selected in the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) “Faces of Farming and Ranching” search. The deadline to enter is Sept. 8.
USFRA is looking nationwide for farmers and ranchers who can serve as the Faces of Farming and Ranching for a number of various national media, influencer and other public-facing opportunities.
The program aims to help put a real face and shine a light on the heart, personalities and values that are behind today’s food production. Those selected as “Faces of Farming and Ranching” will serve multiple roles with USFRA, including, but not limited to, national media interviews, panel participation, speaking engagements, Web chats, advertising and roadshows.
They also will receive professional media and speaker training, a $10,000 stipend, a $5,000 charitable donation to a local or ag-related charity of their choice and if an OFBF member is selected they will receive an additional $2,500.
“We support and acknowledge the need to put a face on farming and ranching today, and hope that we have members that will be willing to step up and take part in this opportunity,” said OFBF Vice President of the Center of Food and Animal Issues Mike Bumgarner. “We realize there is a time commitment and impact to our members’ operation if they are selected to fill this role and our contribution is to help offset some of the costs.”
To apply, potential Faces of Farming and Ranching candidates will should complete an application form and upload a video no longer than three minutes that describes themselves and their role on the farm/ranch.
