New Web site connects Farm Bureau to members and the public
Buckeye Farm News
OFBF continued to add to its improved Web presence in May with the launch of the completely redesigned and upgraded Web site, www.ofbf.org.
The new-look homepage features improved content, easier navigation, an enhanced search function and a new level of interactivity bringing the organization to the leading edge of online communications.
“The new ofbf.org is Ohio Farm Bureau’s centerpiece for all of our Internet communications,” said OFBF Senior Vice President of Communications Kurt Ely. “The site is an integral part of our commitment to making Farm Bureau accessible to our members and to the public.”
In addition to the latest agricultural news and events, a new social component of the site allows visitors to interact with each other and the organization, and to discuss issues important to all Ohioans.
By creating a free online account, users may comment on stories, vote and comment on reader polls and more. Visitors to the site may also print, e-mail and share material from the site on social Web services such as Digg, Facebook and Twitter. More than a dozen RSS feeds enable users to subscribe to receive the latest information from OFBF without having to visit the site every day to check for updates.
County specific content
Each county Farm Bureau now has its own page resembling a county blog on the Web site. County pages allow members access to not only contact information, but also to news, event listings and updates directly from their county Farm Bureau. Users creating a free online profile also have their county Farm Bureau information displayed on the Home page each time they sign in.
The improved search function gives visitors access to an extremely wide range of materials on topics of interest. Visitors to www.ofbf.org now have the option to search anything on the site, from Buckeye Farm News stories and event listings to Ohio Farm Bureau policy and Town Hall Ohio radio segments.
For all Web users, the clean, easy-to-use and strategically organized site provides valuable resources for almost anybody.
