Ever have a little leftover pasta sauce you need to use?Makes 1 servings
- 6 ounces vodka (this can be omitted for a non-alcoholic version)
- 1 cup Starfire Zifer’s marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon horseradish
- Spicy Candied Bacon
- 1 pound thick cut bacon
- 1/2 cup Starfire Farm’s sweet pepper jelly
Mix all ingredients in a pitcher, season with celery salt, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Garnish with the Spicy Candied Bacon, celery stick, olives, etc.
To make the bacon:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Separate bacon strips and place on a rimmed baking sheet. Place on oven rack. Bake for 10 minutes, turn slices and bake another 5 minutes. Remove bacon from oven and immediately brush with Starfire sweet pepper jelly on both sides. Return to oven and bake another 5 minutes. Repeat basting every 5 minutes until bacon is crisp, about 30 minutes.
