Makes 4 servings


  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons liquid from a jar of pepperoncinis
  • 1.5-2 pounds beef roast


Place the roast into the slow cooker. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over meat. Cook on high for four hours or low for six to eight hours. Slice or shred meat to fit in pitas.

Serve in pita bread pockets with assorted toppings to taste such as:

  • Red onions, cut in thin strips
  • Tomatoes, diced
  • Pepperoncinis
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Ranch dressing
