Strawberry Pretzel Salad

This is a festive dessert using whipped topping and strawberry gelatin.


  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 6 ounces package strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 10 ounce packages frozen strawberries


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix together pretzels, butter and 3 tablespoons sugar. Pat into a 9 x 13-inch pan or springform pan. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool completely.

In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar; stir in Cool Whip and pour over pretzel mixture. Place in refrigerator.

In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water, add frozen undrained strawberries, mix well and refrigerate. When gelatin mixture begins to set, pour over cream cheese mixture and return to the refrigerator.

Chill completely before serving.
