Terin D. Williams
Cybersecurity Advisor, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

Topic: “Cyber Threat Brief to the Food Industry”

Every organization can be hit with some type of cyber attack. Understanding the threat and making the correct preparation is key to prevention and limiting damage and costs. We will discuss current threats and possible defenses specific to the food industry from one of top experts in the field.

Williams serves as the Cyber Security Advisor for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In this role, she is responsible for bringing together critical infrastructure owner/operators with federal, state, local, and other stakeholders to maximize collaboration and minimize cyber risk in the State of Ohio.

Prior to this position, Terin was the Chief Information Officer for the Ohio Army National
Guard who had oversight of the Ohio Guard cyber forces. She was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Ohio Army National Guard previous to the CIO position and served as the cyber team lead. Additionally, she serves as the Industrial Defense Sector Lead for the Columbus chapter of INFRAGARD.

A current member of the Army National Guard, she is the Brigade Commander of the first and the only Cyber Brigade in the Army National Guard that spans 31 states. She has had multiple deployments and has multiple military awards. She led the national Cyber Shield exercise from 2017 through 2020.

She holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War Collegeand a Master of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University.

Dave Fusaro

Editor and Chief, Food Processing Magazine

Topic: “The Present and Future of Food & Beverage Processing”

Dave Fusaro will look at the changes and challenges for the food & beverage industry in 2022: business issues like the financial health of companies, supply chain problems, food safety and regulatory issues; product development ones such as changing consumer trends and plant-based foods; and manufacturing ones like labor and automation. And he’ll look ahead to how the industry will look post-COVID, with new ingredients and new processing technologies.

Fusaro has been editor in chief of Food Processing magazine since 2003. In 30 years in food journalism, he’s won national writing awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, has been interviewed on CNN, quoted in national newspapers and authored a 200-page market research report on the milk industry. Earlier, he was an award-winning newspaper reporter who specialized in business writing. Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marquette University.
