Every Tuesday an Ohio Farm Bureau member takes over the Ohio Farm Bureau Instagram for the day to share a day in their life. Check in throughout the day or follow us on Instagram, @OhioFarmBureau, to meet new Ohio farmers and ag professionals every #TakeOverTuesday.

Hello members and friends of Farm Bureau! My name is Ryan Conklin I am an attorney with Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA. Our office is thrilled to give you a glimpse into an agriculture law firm as we host #TakeOverTuesday this week! Paul Wright, a former Ohio State Extension agriculture law specialist, founded our firm in 1988 with the goal of providing legal services to farmers and rural residents across Ohio. These pictures are from our new office, which we have called home since 2014. . #TakeOverTuesday this week is with Ryan Conklin of Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA in Delaware County. My bosses Robert and Kelly Moore (yes, they are married) bought the firm from Paul in 2012. Throughout the firm’s history, hiring people with a connection to agriculture has been essential. Robert and I followed similar paths to get to Wright & Moore, with both of us growing up on dairy farms (pictured) and studying agriculture at Ohio State. Today, Robert and Kelly’s daughter shows goats at the Delaware County Fair. . . #TakeOverTuesday this week is with Ryan Conklin of Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA in Delaware County. If you look out our front office window, you can see the old Delaware County Courthouse. Despite being attorneys, we actually spend very little time in the courtroom! Instead, we devote our time to helping clients with estate planning, business planning, succession planning, property, and other farm-related issues. Our work in these areas is designed to keep clients out of costly time-consuming legal disputes. . . #TakeOverTuesday this week is with Ryan Conklin of Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA in Delaware County. Even though we are located in Delaware, we assist clients in all parts of Ohio. The map of Ohio in bottom right-hand corner shows the counties that I have worked in during my two years at Wright & Moore. Someday, I hope to check off every county on the map! Also, on special occasions I need to break out the map for farm visits. This is a really fun part of my job because I get to see clients’ operations. . . #TakeOverTuesday this week is with Ryan Conklin of Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA in Delaware County. Maintaining strong partners throughout Ohio is essential to our success. Friends of our office include accountants, financial advisors, lenders, banks, industry organizations, insurance agents, and many others. One of our strongest partnerships is with Ohio Farm Bureau. During the year we gladly help OFBF groups, such as AgriPOWER (shout out, Class VIII!) and Young Ag Professionals, with their programming needs. . . #TakeOverTuesday this week is with Ryan Conklin of Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA in Delaware County. In the back on the left are my bosses Robert and Kelly Moore, and Brandy Ward our receptionist. Special shout out to Jeff Lewis who is our legal intern and @lyndseyjmurphy who assists with office marketing efforts, both who are not pictured. Thanks to Ohio Farm Bureau for letting us host today and hope to see y’all at an OFBF event someday! . . #TakeOverTuesday this week is with Ryan Conklin of Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA in Delaware County. Labor has always been an issue, mainly because we are a seasonal operation. So that's a challenge finding somebody who only wants to work three months out of a year, sometimes up to six months.

I appreciate the benefit of having a strong voice in my corner. The extras that are included in membership are wonderful, but I'm a member because of the positive impact to my local and state agricultural communities.

I see the value and need to be engaged in the community I live in, to be a part of the decision-making process and to volunteer with organizations that help make our community better.

Leadership development
Farm Bureau involvement has taught me how to grow my professional and leadership experience outside of the workforce and how to do that in a community-centric way.

With not growing up on a farm, I’d say I was a late bloomer to agriculture. I feel so fortunate that I found the agriculture industry. There are so many opportunities for growth.

Growing our Generation
Knowing that horticulture is under the agriculture umbrella and having Farm Bureau supporting horticulture like it does the rest of ag is very important.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
